Happy Birthday Kyan!

I took Kyan, Natalya and Malikye to the park today before dinner. Let them blow off some steam. They had a blast.
Here are some pics from the park and Kyan's birthday dinner. More to follow tomorrow of his party at the bowling center :)

4 days before he turns 4

Kyan will be 4 years old on March 28th. Where has the time gone?
I would give him the world, just because of his big beautiful eyes.

Beans, Beans...they're good for your heart...the more you eat...

Lilyana LOVES green beans (Like her Momma).
She has finally mastered the spoon, and has been eating puree'd foods for about 3 weeks now.
Isn't she just too freaking cute??!!

Why Me? Why Why Why Me??

I have 4 children, there are bound to be ups and downs. What I don't understand is why would my beautiful 2 year old daughter decide to do this????
She has been potty trained since August 2008, she was 18 mths old. She has been perfectly trained since then. She wears a pull up to nap, and bed, but otherwise, completely trained.
I don't get it, I just don't.
Excuse the crappy quality of my phone, but it was closer than the digital camera.

Grand Canyon Baby!

We took a trip to the Grand Canyon yesterday.......it was so much fun!
We left our 3 oldest kiddos with a friend. Lily is the only one who got to go, and she slept through most of it.
We left early in the morning, thinking it would be a 3 hour drive (or so our GPS told us).
We decided to go into the Canyon at Diamond Creek, instead of going another 2 hours to the South Rim.
We had already back tracked an hour because our GPS decided to take us to the Canyon Caverns, which actually aren't anywhere even near the actual Grand Canyon.
Our 3 hour drive, turned into 5 hours.
It was WORTH IT!
Here are the pics!

Officially a BLOGGER!

Or Bowogger as my Kyan would call it.
Where do I start? I have a crazy life. My children take up 95% of my time. Keeping up with 4 under 6 is not as difficult as it sounds..(ok who am I kidding? Yes it is just as difficult as it sounds, if not more). But for the sake of this blog, I'll lie and tell you that it's not hard. Just a routine, well balanced meals, and nap time!
Yes! I LIVE for nap time! That is my absolute FAVORITE time of the day. I can think a straight thought, without someone asking more for more milk, another cookie, or to wipe their butt after a quick potty break.
Malikye is our oldest son. He will be 6 in June, and I'm sure he plans on getting his permit then. He wants to be President of the USA. Quite a dream for a 6 YO, but being as encouraging as I can, I tell him he can be whatever he wants to be, as long as he is no longer living under my roof. HAHA!
Kyan is our youngest son, but 2nd oldest child. He will be 4 in March. He isn't nearly as motivated to take on the world as Malikye is. He is happiest when Sponge Bob is on TV, his Nintendo DS is fully charged and ready for a day of playing, and aspires to work at Burger King. Fine and dandy when he is 15, however, Im praying that by the time he is 20, he has bigger plans in mind. Although, I do enjoy the occassional Whopper.
Natalya is our oldest daughter, but 3rd oldest child. She just turned 2 in February. To describe her, a few words come to mind. Some of which I can not post on here, but Ill give you a picture. Temper tantrums, squealing, and crying spells that last for hours. Doesn't she sound like doll? All kidding aside, she is a sweetheart (when she wants to be), totally Mommy's girl and her smiles melt my heart. I'm sure she is going to grow into a beautiful woman, if she ever gets off the floor. Ahhh, 2 year olds...aren't they fun??
Lilyana is our youngest daughter, the baby of our family. She was born in October 2008. She has the sweetest personality (don't all babies??). She smiles when I walk in the room, and loves her siblings. She just wants someone to talk to her, give her a cuddle, and then sit her in her Bumbo seat. I'm lucky she is an easily pleased baby, otherwise I don't know how I would function.
I love all my children equal amounts, but for very different reasons. Malikye is my goofball. He loves to make others laugh. Kyan is my serious, shy guy, forever a Momma's boy. Natalya is my diva, strong willed and stubborn. Lilyana is my happy, chubby baby, who's smiles make me glow.
My husband is a Soldier. I married the United States Air Force. Theo and I met back in 2002.
We got married, had some babies, and here we are. Well, there was a little more than that in between, but you get the point.
He is deployed a lot, so about 80% of the time, I'm a single parent. It's not as bad as it sounds (and this time Im serious)....really. He is gone months at a time, but the kids and I manage. We work it out, keep busy and count down the reunion. This is our life.
I love my husband and my children with all my heart. I would do anything for any of them, and wouldn't have it any other way.
